LIZUAN was founded in 1962 by 6 enterprising workers. The name itself has got its origin in the union of the first letter of the surname of each those people.

Although it has been located since its origins in the village of Azkoitia, it has suffered various changes of premises in the same town, till 1971, date in which it was definitely installated in the current address. The mentioned changes during those years were mainly motivated by the need of a bigger place of work, for a staff that was growing progressively because of the always bigger demand of machines. Meanwhile, this demand involved a continuos improvement of the machinery for sale, and in order to reach that, it was necessary to count with better equiped premises. It was also necessary to take into consideration that the machines were getting considerable dimensions. Therefore, it was taken the decision of installating the firm in its current location.
